It looks like New York Knicks having a very busy offseason will be needed as guard Jr Smith reportedly had knee surgery today. The surgery comes from chronic injuries that worsened over time, not one specific incident. Smith went in to repair a tear in his lateral meniscus and patella tendon surgery. He will be sidelined for about 3-4 months as he recovers.
He will most likely not miss any of the season which is good new for the Knicks as Smith was such a valuable piece off the bench in the regular season for them. Smith recently signed a four-year extension with New York. The Knicks also made news today for signing Metta World Peace to a two-year contract.
