Little Anthony Cupp had his sneakers stolen off his feet one day when he was walking home from school. The 13-year-old had saved up all of the money he made from mowing his neighbor’s lawn to buy a pair of KD 7’s. Kevin Durant himself heard about Anthony’s story and wanted to make things right. Durant and the Thunder were in Detroit to play the Pistons where Cupp was an honorary ball boy.
Durant went over to the middle schooler and presented him with an autographed pair of KD 7s as well as a backpack full of KD merchandise. The two got a chance to talk before the game started. Unfortunate circumstances may have brought these two together, but it is pretty incredible to see Durant try and make things better.
