He is known for being one of the greatest scorers to ever pick up a basketball. He is also known for his off the wall fashion sense, especially his signature backpacks. So is he trading all of his basketball talent in for photo shoots and runways? Not quite, but he did do a photo shoot for Teen Vogue explaining his unique self style. In an interview with the magazine he explains that the reason he wears glasses is because “he needs them” unlike other players [Russell Westbrook] who wears them with no frames. He doesn’t wear contacts on the court simply because he “has been playing his whole life.”
He said that his favorite backpack is one that Nike made for him with neon green and he only started wearing them “to put stuff in”. Who knew this guy was so normal? Except that all his clothes are custom made due to his height!
He admits to seeing lots of basketball players at fashion week and said that he enjoyed Versace’s show. When asked who he would like to sit next to at a show he answered, “Kanye West. His style is something that only he could pull off”. Talking about the other sex, he confesses, “I don’t like when women go over the top with it I like heels. Tennis shoes are cool, but it a certain tennis shoe they have to wear. Nothing other than Jordans… And some KDs obviously.” Ladies now you know the way to this superstar’s heart!
