After an incredibly gruesome injury, Kevin Ware has shown incredible strength less than 24 hours after. The Louisville player broke his leg in two places yesterday after landing completely wrong trying to defend a three point shot against the Duke Blue Devils. Ware was the vision of strength telling his teammates to go win this game and not worry about him.
Coach Rick Pitino stayed with Ware as he underwent successful surgery last night. He is already out of bed and walking around on crutches. Wearing his ‘Champions” hat, he has already gotten his chance to hold the trophy as his team advances to the Final Four. After beating the Blue Devils, the Cardinals held up Ware’s jersey along with the trophy. It is unbelievable that he is able to stand on crutches only hours after what looked like an injury that could keep him off his feet for months. Kevin Ware is the true definition of a champion.
