Just a day after reporting the news about the injured captain of the Boston Bruins, Zdeno Chara, another key member of a top team has been added to the list.
Los Angeles Kings center and alternate captain, Anze Kopitar, has been added to the list. He is suffering an upper-body injury that occurred during Sundays game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he had a little bit more than 10 minutes of ice time. Kopitar, one of the NHL’s best two-way forwards, left the ice after 12:58 of the second period and did not return.
There is no other word on his injury and how it was caused. Whether or not he will be out indefinitely or return soon is still a mystery.
We wish him a great recovery and hope that he will return to the ice to play again with the defending Stanley Cup champions healthy and healed when he is ready to.
