First it was playing with Dwight Howard and coach Mike D’Antoni.  Then it was tearing his Achilles tendon in a game.  Now he faces his biggest challenge, his mother.  Pamela Bryant is looking to make a lot of money off of some of her son’s memorabilia.  Pamela made a deal with Goldin Auctions to sell some of Kobe’s basketball mementos including trophies, jackets, high school jerseys, signed basketballs, and his 1998 All Star ring for $450,000!

Some of the items set to be auctioned off.

Well, Kobe is fighting this and trying to block the sale by saying all of these items belong to him and not his mother.  Pamela was looking to use the money to buy a new home in Nevada. It is said that Kobe’s mother is in possession of Kobe memorabilia valued up to $1.5 million.  It is incredible that you can’t even trust the person who gave birth to you!
