Kobe Bryant has settled his lawsuit against his parents and can now focus on rehabbing his torn Achilles.  Bryant was suing his parents from selling some of his high school and NBA memorabilia to an auction house.  His parents, Pamela and Joe Bryant, said that their son had given them the stuff as gifts and they were the proper owners.  However, why would you ever want to sell some of your son’s greatest memories?  Some of the item included Kobe’s high school uniform, his 1998 All Star ring, and some signed jerseys.

Some of the items set to be auctioned off.A week before this case was set to go before the judge, the Bryant family has come to a settlement.  Kobe is allowing his parents to sell six items, which reportedly will still sell for $500,000.  To make sure that their son was not holding grudges, Pamela and J0e released a public apology.  A statement released through their publicist, “We regret our actions and statements related to the Kobe Bryant auction memorabilia.  We apologize for any misunderstanding and unintended pain we have caused our son and appreciate the financial support he has provided over the years. We also apologize to Goldin Auctions for their inadvertent involvement in this matter and thank them for their assistance.”  The bidding starts next Monday, June 17th and will continue until June 19th. From now on, Kobe should hold on to all of his own stuff!
