cutler_suh-624x454The NFC North has been a very tight division.  With the Green Bay Packers losing to the Chicago Bears this past Monday night, this division is now in a three way tie for first.  The Bears welcome back a familiar face as they face another division rival this afternoon.  Quarterback Jay Cutler returns much sooner than expected after suffering a groin injury.  The Bears still have major injuries on defense and facing Detroit’s high powered offense is not going to help.

The Lions are coming off a bye week in which they got to relive their thrilling win over the Cowboys. Detroit is really trying to build off that win and win a game in their division.  One way to get that done is by handing the ball off to Reggie Bush.  After losing their Pro Bowl defensive tackle Nate Collins, they have really struggled against the run.  Calvin Johnson is also coming off a career day and it will be a long day for corner back Charles Tillman who will be running around with him.

This division has become the one to watch.  All three of the top teams could win this division and this game is crucial.  With Aaron Rodgers out for multiple games, this is the time for either the Lions or Bears to put some space between the teams.  I think Detroit will get it done today and move into first. The Bears get Cutler back, but that defense is really beaten up and they are coming off a short week.  The Lions got an extra week to rest their injuries and an extra week to prepare for a game of this magnitude.  Lions vs. Bears- who you takin?
