The madness has ended and we are finally down to two teams, the Louisville Cardinals and Michigan Wolverines. Michigan is the team with familiar last names like Glenn Robinson III and Tim Hardaway Jr. Louisville is the team with two small, but very skillful guards in Russ Smith and Peyton Siva. Much of Michigan’s run has focused on Trey Burke’s clutch shooting, but he did not really show up against Syracuse. Which Trey Burke will play tonight? Louisville is one of the most efficient teams on defense and that is exactly what they will need in order to beat Michigan. This Michigan has scored over 70 points in every game this tournament except against Syracuse.
Michigan may be more talented especially with freshman Mitch McGary, but I think that Louisville has more heart and will win it all tonight. When Louisville lost Kevin Ware you saw just how much of a family this team really is and that is something that does not come up the stat sheet, but can make all the difference. One of these teams will cut down the net tonight. Michigan or Louisville, who you takin?
