Get out your Xbox and PS4, because Madden 16 is coming your way on August 25th, 2015. The superstar gracing this year’s cover has already been unveiled, but in case you forgot, it’s going to be breakout star Odell Beckham Jr with his famous one-handed catch. OBJ beat out Rob Gronkowski in a fan vote on who would end up on the cover.
If you’re literally counting down the days until the regular season starts, Madden is a good alternative in the meantime. If Madden’s not really your thing or you don’t own an Xbox, Xbox One, PS3 or PS4 like me, then don’t worry because Madden has something for you too.
On their official Youtube page, Madden has uploaded “Madden: The Movie” which is basically a full movie in less than 5 minutes. Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are the two main characters before it becomes chalked full of player and a coach cameo, but the plot and general dramatics of the whole trailer are what makes it funny. The video is also complimented with a Bollywood style theme which includes Bollywood music, dance numbers and a few Bollywood actors/actresses.
Among those featured in the trailer are Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski, Falcons WR Julio Jones, 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, Steelers WR Antonio Brown and Buffalo Bills HC Rex Ryan. Even though each player has their own unique and hilarious persona, Rex Ryan cast as Lil’Pepper has to be the funniest out of them all. The only thing that could possibly beat him is the fact that Rob Gronkowski is named Half Top and literally wears a crop top the whole video. The biggest plot twist occurs at the end of the video though which can be seen here!
