Joseph Patterson, the man charged in the death of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson’s son. has been released from jail on $750,000 bail. Patterson is charged with second degree murder, two counts of first degree manslaughter, aggravated battery of an infant, and felony child abuse. His bail was reduced yesterday from $1 million after pleading not guilty in court according to TMZ. The mother of the young boy was dating Patterson at the time and left him in charge of watching the two-year-old.
It is pretty surprising that Patterson was given bail given the extent of the charges he faces. Someone accused of viciously beating a defenseless child to death deserves to rot in a cell. It is unfair to think that he gets to walk free awaiting his day in court.
