What is the best part of hockey? The fighting of course! If you are like me and love the fighting on the ice, then you definitely need to check out what happened last night during the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames game. As soon as the puck was dropped, a fight broke out between the two teams, however, before the game even officially started it was clear there was something brewing.
The Flames put their fourth line on the ice which prompted the Canucks to put their “tough guys” on the line. Within two seconds all hell broke loose with players pairing off and starting individual fights. Vancouver’s Kellan Lane even got involved and it was his first game in the NHL! He along with seven other players were ejected from the game. The fight, however, continued off the ice and involved Canucks coach John Tortorella! He attempted to go into the Flames dressing room, but was pushed away by Flames enforcer Brian McGrattan. McGrattan attempted to follow the opposing head coach, but was held back by several of his teammates.
The game continued and the Canucks walked away with the 3-2 win, but the league is said to be looking into the matter for possible disciplinary action.
