It is the battle of New York and for once, the Mets may have the advantage. The Mets have Matt Harvey on the mound to face the Bronx Bombers. Harvey has become one of the bright young stars in baseball and he will face the team he grew up rooting for. Harvey, a Connecticut native, said that he has been looking forward to competing against the Yankees. The Yankees will send out one of their best pitchers as well in Hiroki Kuroda. Kuroda has become their de facto ace as CC Sabathia has not fully recovered from offseason elbow surgery and Andy Pettitte being on the disabled list.
The Mets look a series at home tonight and with Harvey on the mound, they might be able to. Harvey will look to go 6-0 tonight, but will have to keep the Yankees swinging and missing. The Yankees have started playing small ball and if they can get on base, they will look to steal. This should be a classic pitching duel of a seasoned veteran and the new young stud. If the Mets can play smart like they seem to always do when Harvey is pitching, this should be a win for Queens. However, the Yankees are still the Yankees and beating them is never easy! Mets vs. Yankees- who you takin?
