This might be the best story of the entire NCAA Tournament. Adorable eight year old Lacey Holsworth is battling cancer, but that does not stop her love for Michigan State basketball. Holsworth has developed a friendship with star player Adreian Payne. The pair met when the team visited Lacey in a local hospital.
Since then, the two have developed a real friendship. Holsworth accompanied Payne on senior night and was there to witness her favorite team win the Big Ten Championship. Not only did she get to watch, but Payne lifted her up to help him cut down the nets. A moment that Lacey will forever treasure as she continues to battle cancer. We are all cheering for you Lacey!
