It looks like the end may finally be near in one of the biggest scandals in baseball history. The clinic that allegedly supplied multiple major league players, including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun, with performance-enhancing drugs has learned the league has dropped its lawsuit against them.
In the lawsuit, the owner of the clinic, Anthony Bosch was accused of conspiring with players to help violate the terms of their contracts by giving them banned substances to help aide their performance. The exact amount of money MLB had sued for was never made public, but it helped the league build its case against players by allowing them to subpoena the clinic’s records.
Alex Rodriguez was the only player who fought his suspension, but after having it reduced to 162 games, he dropped his lawsuits against the league. Other players linked to the clinic include Jhonny Peralta and Nelson Cruz.
