New England Patriots: Any More Questions?

For the first time in years, the New England Patriots had a team threatening to take their AFC East title. Tom Brady and company looked shaky for weeks and was headed for a big test against the Buffalo Bills.

It’s so rare for Tom Brady to look average on the field, but for the last five weeks Brady has really struggled. This game against Buffalo’s top five defense was really going to show if Brady could do it one more time or if father time finally caught up with number twelve.

Brady’s favorite target Julian Edelman has been dealing with injuries all season including a knee and shoulder injury. He exited the Bills game and went into concussion protocol. Once he left the field the offense struggled like in the past few weeks. Somehow, he cleared protocol and was able to come back out and team looked sharp. The offense looks completely different with Edelman on the field and scored games final 11 points on his return

“Any time Julian’s in the game, it’s a different ballgame,” LaCosse said. “Any time he’s in the huddle or on the field, he’s a dangerous guy, and we love having him out there.”

The team secured the AFC East title for 11th straight season. This was probably the one they worked the hardest for. They played all of the big teams, including the Ravens and Texans, and didn’t do as well as many expected. At the beginning of the season, nobody expected this team to struggle. The Patriots were perfect until they ran into MVP-favorite Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in primetime. They have looked shaky at best since then, but last week against the Bills they looked like the Patriots we are used to seeing at this time of the year.

The team can lock up first round bye with a win over the Dolphins today . They should win, barring something crazy happening . This is something the New England Patriots really need, to give their players an extra week of rest.
