While their season may not be going quite as well as last year, the defending Super Bowl champs are trying to end the regular season on a happy note. The tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut is still weighing heavy on all our heart including sports stars. To try and bring a few smiles to the students, teachers, and parents faces, the Giants have invited them to come down to watch their final regular season game against the Eagles. Transportation will be provided so that everyone who wants to go can attend. Hopefully, the town can have a little fun for a few hours.
Everyone knows the story about little Jack Pinto. Pinto was one of the twenty-six people murdered that tragic day. He was a huge Giants fan, especially of receiver Victor Cruz. Cruz went to visit the Pinto family and spend the day in Newtown to bring a little happiness to the community. This is why the Giants are class acts. It is less about being in the newspapers and more about bringing some happiness to people who truly need it. The Giants may not make the playoffs, but at least they go out on a high note.
