After weeks and weeks of negotiating, the NFL and NFLPA has agreed on a new drug policy. Yes, that means Broncos WR Wes Welker, Cowboys DB Orlando Scandrick, and Browns WR Josh Gordon will be back on the field sooner than expected. Both Welker and Scandrick are now eligible to return this Sunday. Josh Gordon, who is a repeat offender, had his suspension reduced from the entire season to ten games. Gordon won’t be selling cars for too much longer now!
Previously, these suspensions were considered to be for perfromance-enhaning drugs, however under the new policy they would be classified as substance abuse. The new policy includes the beginning of testing for HGH, human growth hormone. Testing procedures will be sent to teams later this month.
