Here’s what injuries we’re following after Week 12 in the NFL.
Vikings 13, Lions 16
Minnesota Vikings center Joe Berger left Sunday’s loss, in the first half, with a concussion. Berger missed practice and is currently in the NFL’s concussion protocol and could miss Week 13’s game against the Cowboys.
Redskins 26, Cowboys 31
Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed played through Thursday’s loss with a Grade 3 AC joint separation in his left shoulder. On Monday, after sitting out of practice, Reed announced that he won’t need surgery, but he described his shoulder movement as “30 percent.” Update: Reed did not practice on Wednesday. Head coach Jay Gruden said “we will just have to wait and see,” when asked about Reed’s availability for Week 13.

Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan is finished for the remainder of the season. Head coach John Fox announced that the fifth-year starter suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in his knee.
Cardinals 19, Falcons 38
Arizona Cardinals receiver John Brown left Sunday’s loss with a hamstring injury. On Monday, head coach Bruce Arians reported that the starter is suffering from issues caused from a sickle-cell trait. Brown missed that last two months of last season with hamstring issues. Arians said that is likely related to the sickle-cell trait diagnosis.
Arians also reported that cornerback Patrick Peterson (knee) and running back David Johnson (finger) are doing okay. Peterson did not sustain any structural damage to his knee, but he is dealing with soreness.
Atlanta Falcons defensive end Adrian Clayborn could be out for at least one month after suffering a MCL tear, and a partially torn meniscus, on Sunday. According to ESPN, the 2011 first-round draft pick could miss that time as surgery is likely.
Giants 27, Browns 13
New York Giants safety Nat Berhe and linebacker Mark Herzlich both suffered concussions during the win over the Browns. Both were injured on special-teams plays. This is Berhe’s second concussion of the season.
Cleveland Browns placed guard John Greco on injured reserve. The starter sustained a right mid-foot sprain during Sunday’s loss.
The Browns received some good news as quarterback Cody Kessler was cleared from the concussion protocol on Monday.
Chargers 21, Texans 13
Jaguars 21, Bills 28
Buffalo Bills cornerback Ronald Darby is in concussion protocol after taking a hit to the head while trying to tackle Jaguars running back Chris Ivory. Darby was able to walk off the field but did not return to the game.
Bills wideout Walt Powell was ruled out for the remainder of the game after sustaining an ankle injury.
Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins returned to practice on Wednesday after experiencing foot soreness. According to head coach Rex Ryan, Watkins “looked good” and expects him to play.
Bengals 14, Ravens 19
Cincinnati Bengals placed cornerback Chykie Brown on season-ending injured reserve. Brown was carted off the field following a knee injury on Sunday.
49ers 24, Dolphins 31
San Francisco 49ers wideout Quinton Patton exited Sunday’s game after trying to make a tackle after an interception. Patton was diagnosed with a concussion and did not return to the game.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker left the game early after he was shaken up on a catch. The second-year player was seen wearing a back brace on the sideline. Update: Parker missed practice again on Wednesday due to the injury.
Seahawks 5, Buccaneers 14
Patriots 22, Jets 17
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski left Sunday’s win in the first quarter after suffering a back injury. According to the New York Post, Gronk struggled to walk to the team bus after the game. When asked about his player’s injury, head coach Bill Belichick said “I haven’t seen Rob, so I don’t know.” Update: Gronk is scheduled to have surgery on Friday to repair a herniated disc. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, he will miss several weeks.
New York Jets safety Calvin Pryor suffered a concussion during Sunday’s loss. Pryor has to undergo the league’s concussion protocol before he can return for the Monday night game against the Colts.
Panthers 32, Raiders 35
Oakland Raiders cornerback D.J. Hayden was ruled out, during Sunday’s game, after sustaining a hamstring injury.
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, who played with a dislocated finger Sunday, avoided any fractures.
Chiefs 30, Broncos 27
Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Dontari Poe did not finish Sunday’s overtime win against the Broncos. Head coach Andy Reid later said that Poe had back spasms. Poe was listed as questionable before Sunday due to a back injury.
The Chiefs placed defensive lineman Jaye Howard on the injuryed reserve list due to a hip flexor injury.
Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian didn’t practice for a second-straight day. Siemian sustained a sprained foot on Sunday and was seen walking in a boot on Wednesday.
Packers 27, Eagles 13
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews exited the game briefly after taking a big hit from an Eagles offensive lineman. Matthews told reporters that he might’ve suffered an injury to the AC joint in his shoulder. “I’m in a little bit of pain, but it’s alright,” he said.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is also not letting injury stop him. He suffered a hamstring injury during Monday night’s win. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he wasn’t sure if the injury would limit his quarterback in practice this week.
Philadelphia Eagles wideout Jordan Matthews suffered a right ankle injury Monday night. Head coach Doug Pederson hasn’t provided on update on Matthews’ condition yet.
