Here we go week 6!
Kansas City Chiefs at Minnesota Vikings -3
Jamaal Charles is out the rest of the season after tearing his ACL last week. This week the Chiefs hobble into Minnesota to take on the Vikings. The Vikings are favored at home by three. Minnesota is better than the Bears. This looks like a good week for some home cooking.
Prediction: Minnesota ATS
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions -3.
No, no, no. I will not make any predictions in this game. You know the deal. I recuse myself every week from the Bears game. This week isn’t going to be any different. But if I was leaning a certain way I might be leaning towards… Ha but I’m not leaning. So you are on your own with this.
Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills +3
The undefeated Bengals take the show on the road and head into Buffalo. Buffalo has more penalties this season than Starbucks has coffee pots. Somehow the Bills still manage to get their opponent to turn over the ball. I don’t know if that will be enough even if the refs do serve up a couple helpings of home cooking. E.J Manuel is starting this week and that may just be enough push the Bills need.
Prediction: Bills ATS
Washington Redskins at New York Jets -7.0
I realize by some stroke of luck Washington managed to scare the Falcons last week. Don’t get carried away. Washington is still Washington. Chris Ivory is running very well. Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall are doing a good job of connecting with Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Jets should make short work of Washington the Meadowlands.
Prediction: Jets
Miami Dolphins at Tennessee Titans -1.0
The Dolphins have had a tumultuous year so far. The Dolphins have already fired one coach this season and have lost three in a row, but a ray of sunshine might be on the horizon. The Dolphins head to Tennessee to take on Marcus Mariota and the Titans. The Titans are also 1-3. The Titans won their season opener against Tampa Bay and have faded off the map every since. Both of these teams have horrible, but Miami is the way to go.
Prediction: Miami ATS
Arizona Cardinals at Pittsburgh Steelers +3.5
The Cardinals fly into Heinz Field to take on the Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger is out and Michael Vick is still at the helm for the Steelers. The Steelers do welcome back wide receiver Martavis Bryant. On paper the Cardinals are a lot better than the Steelers right now. The Steelers are playing on a short week after beating the Chargers in San Diego Monday. Take the Cards and the points.
Prediction: Cardinals ATS
Denver Broncos at Cleveland Browns +4.0
The Broncos have managed to stay undefeated in large part due to their smothering defense. The most notable thing that has happened to the Browns this season is that Johnny Manziel didn’t get arrested for driving drunk this week. Manziel was pulled over while arguing with his girlfriend earlier this week. Despite admitting to drinking he was not detained. There is no reason to think the Browns can beat the Broncos this weekend.
Prediction: Broncos ATS
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars -1.5
You aren’t seriously thinking about this one are you? I hope not. But just in case you can’t resist take the Jaguars at home. I mean someone has to win right?
Predication: Jaguars ATS
Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks -7.0
This may be a rough week for the unbeaten. The Falcons went down Thursday and there’s a good chance when it’s all said and down the Patriots and Patriots may be the only two unbeaten teams left.
San Diego Chargers at Green Bay Packers -11.0
Green Bay is very good at home and they will win. San Diego is coming off a Monday night loss. But 11 points is a lot to give up to an NFL team. Take Green Bay to win straight up but the Chargers to cover.
Prediction: Chargers ATS
Baltimore Ravens at San Francisco 49ers +2
Another game no one really cares about. I’m just going to close my eyes and do eenie meenie mighty mo. I’m really not, but this game is so ugly I could and no one would blame me. However in the words of Herman Edwards we play to win the game. Somebody has to win right?
Predication : 49ers
New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts +9
The last time these two met a trip to the Super Bowl was on the line. Deflate-gate captured the hearts and minds of many and would not let go for months. Tom Brady seems to be playing with a massive chip on his shoulder. Come on we already know how this is going to end. Tom never misses an opportunity to show out in primetime. In fact Brady may already be in the red zone. It’s going to be a long night for Luck and the Colts. Remember that the next time you want to be a tattletale Indy. It never ends well.
Prediction: Patriots
Season record ATS 30 – 48
