Yesterday, Iggy Azalea took to Instagram to post a statement, confirming her breakup with Nick Young. Their breakup comes after Young was secretly recorded by Lakers rookie, D’Angelo Russell. Since then, rumors have been swirling if the couple would break up or stay together. However, Iggy’s statement revealed it all which you can read below.
Those are some harsh words coming from the Austrailian singer. Since the news of Young’s infidelity, Azalea has kept herself out of the spotlight and has tried to shift the focus from her relationship to her music. However, Nick Young hasn’t really been doing much of anything.
It seems extremely unlikely that the Los Angeles Lakers will keep Young and will more than likely seek a trade for Young or cut him. Young has been in the spotlight for all of the wrong reasons over the past year. Earlier this year, he came under fire after being the target of sexual harassment claims by a woman and her elderly mother.
The second incident was obviously when Russell recorded him. In the recording, Young admitted to cheating on his fiance. The most disgusting detail of the video was when Young told Russell that he met a 19-year-old girl at the club and hooked up with her despite being 30 years old. Young has also become the subject of many memes and took away from #MambaDay with his drama.
No matter what happened with Young and Azalea, this split was completely predictable. After all the evidence that Azalea had, it would be ridiculous for her to put up with being cheated on and generally being treated like garbage by Young. Young is a perfect example of a high-profile athlete, believing he is invincible and now he has to pick up the pieces in the public eye all alone. TMZ captured photos of Young’s stuff outside of Azalea’s Los Angeles home including his 1962 Impala that Azalea gifted him being towed away. The duo had been dating since 2013 before getting engaged in 2015.
