Very sad news about missing Ohio State football player Kosta Karageorge. Columbus police confirmed they found the defensive lineman’s body in a dumpster. At this time we are able to confirm through tattoos here at the scene that it is the body of Kosta Karageorge,” Sgt. Rich Weiner told reporters. He was found with a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Karageorge had been missing since Wednesday after telling friends and family he was going for a walk. His mother also said her son considered himself “an embarrassment” and had a history of concussions. “I mean, I was friends with Kosta before he even joined the team,” Ohio State left tackle Taylor Decker said Saturday after the game. “He’s a great guy, and just for something like that to happen, it’s obviously a shame.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Karageorge’s friends and family.
