Swimming superstar Michael Phelps has been busy getting ready for his final Olympics. He got engaged to Nicole Johnson and the couple welcomed a baby boy, Boomer, who was born two days ago. Phelps announced the exciting news on his Instagram posting a beautiful picture of him holding little Boomer while Johnson looks on lovingly. Both mother and baby are doing well as they get ready to celebrate her first Mother’s Day.
The couple, who have been together since 2007, got engaged early last year. Boomer Robert Phelps will get a chance to watch his dad compete for the final time this summer in Rio. He will get some baby bonding time in before his next match in four weeks followed by the Olympic trials that run from June 26th through July 3rd. Congratulations to the happy couple on their newest addition! I am sure little Boomer will be in the pool before we know it!
