In a society where people often view the rich and famous more as takers than givers, it is refreshing to see one of their own giving back.
To celebrate his return to the Timberwolves, Kevin Garnett has purchased 1,000 tickets to Minnesota’s next game to show how much he appreciates Timberwolves fans. To him, this is the best possible way he can thank them for their support.
The 15-time All-Star forward’s freebies will be available on the team’s website on Monday morning prior to the game that night where the Timberwolves will host the Los Angeles Clippers. The first 500 fans to claim the tickets will each get a pair of seats.
In a statement distributed by the team, Garnett has said that the response and support he’s received since the Wolves reacquired him in a trade has been “unbelievable” and “amazing.”
