It has been said repeatedly all week that this is a potential Super Bowl 49 matchup. Both the Packers and Patriots have looked like contenders, mostly thanks to their quarterbacks. Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are both having MVP seasons, pretty typical for two of the best quarterbacks in the league. This game will come down to everyone else in this game.
The Patriots have had devastating losses on defense and at the running back position, but have still found ways to plug people in and win games. That is what makes this organization good year after year. The Packers have one of the best wide receivers in the game along with a very good running back combination. Rodgers to Jordy Nelson has made fantasy owners very happy week after week. The Patriots’ defense will have to force Rodgers to find other targets today.
The Packers defense will also have their hands full trying to find a way to cover Rob Gronkowski. Finally, Gronk is fully healthy and creating mismatches for defenses. By double covering him, that allows Brady to find Julian Edelman or his new target, tight end Tim Wright. Packers vs. Patriots- who you takin?
