This is the type of reunion every New York Knicks fan in the 90s has been dreaming about. If Patrick Ewing has it his way, that is exactly what they will get. Reports are surfacing that Patrick Ewing is interested in being the new head coach for the Knickerbockers. Ewing was in Madison Square Garden as his team, Orlando Magic, let one slip away to the Knicks.
Ewing feels that after eight years as an assistant coach, he is ready for the next step up. He did interview for the head coaching position in Detroit, but that role ultimately went to Lawrence Frank. Bringing Ewing in next year may be a risky move for the Knicks as they have seemed to adjust to Mike Woodson very well, but it give the Garden even more explosiveness then it already has. Patrick Ewing is New York. This is where he became a megastar. Lets bring him back home!
