It looks like New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will need yet another surgery after breaking his forearm twice during the season. This would be his fourth surgery on his left forearm. He originally hurt the arm in a game against the Indianapolis Colts on November 18th. He did not return the rest of the regular season, but did make an attempt at a comeback during the Patriots playoff game against the Houston Texans.
Gronkowski has told the public that his arm is doing much better and that he continues to rehab the injured arm. Doctors are not sure if an infection has built up in his arm and will need to take out the plate currently in his arm to find out. Getting this surgery will sideline the athlete for ten weeks. Depending on when the surgery can be performed, Gronkowski could miss the first few weeks of the 2013 regular season.
