First, they lost their coach, now their franchise player said his ankle is sore. The panic that set in among Denver Broncos players and fans was high as they watched quarterback Peyton Manning take very hard hits during their win over the San Diego Chargers. Manning with two sprained ankles, and could not afford any more damage to them. During his post-game interview he admitted, “They got me twice in that lower area. I felt better coming into the game after the bye week, but I’m pretty sore.” He did not sound too positive.
He had an MRI today that showed he had aggravated his previous injury. Interim coach Jack Del Rio said his quarterback will definitely be under center this sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Nobody really expected Manning to miss time with a huge game coming up. When medical staff rushed on the field to check on him, he refused to miss even one play. Manning is having a historic season, and he knows it.
