College football is slowly drawing to an end.  Nothing could have topped off my senior year at Rutgers better than witnessing them win a bowl game. Well my wish came true! That is exactly what  I got this past weekend.  Rutger beat Iowa State for the second annual Pinstripe Bowl held at Yankee Stadium in Bronx,NY.  It did not look very good for the Scarlet Knights at first when they ended the first quarter down 6-0 after Iowa State completed two field goal kicks.   However, it all turned around for Greg Schiano’s bunch in the second quarter when an energized team came onto the field to score 17 points. From there on out the game was all Rutgers.  Sure, Iowa State scored again early in the fourth quarter, but the Knights answered right back with an 86-yard touchdown by Brandon Coleman. However, the greatest victory happened off the field when the jumbo screen showed Eric LeGrand looking on from the announcer’s booth.  Greeted with a standing ovation, he smiled and shared his support for his teammates.  It made me so proud to be a Scarlet Knight and to say that is someone I go to school with.
