After taking a tour of both New York teams, Plaxico Burress is heading back to where it all started. Before he scored the winning touchdown for the Giants and way before he became infamous for shooting himself. Burress missed the 2009 and the 2010 season while he was locked away for the shooting incident. He tried to make a comeback with the New York Jets last season, but that team is not the place to go if you are trying to escape controversy. The Jets did not resign him and he started the season with no job in sight.
The Steelers who are looking so depleted right now decided to take a chance on the wide out after he worked out with them yesterday. This should be a good reunion for Plax and Steelers fans, who saw their beloved quarterback go down and then his backup follow suit. I think this is the place where he can restart his career and try to put all the drama behind him. Hopefully, they don’t make him wear those hideous throwback uniforms, I think he wore enough stripes in prison.
