After allegedly getting into a “minor physical altercation” with his fiancee, Baltimore Ravens running back, Ray Rice, was arrested. The couple spent the weekend at Revel Casino in Atlantis City, NJ. He and his fiancee were both charged and taken into custody. Rice was released on his own recognizance.
The Ravens director of public relations, Chad Steele, spoke on behalf of the teams, “We are aware of the Friday night situation with Ray Rice and his fiancee. We have spoken with Ray, and know that they returned home together after being detained.” Rice’s lawyer told the media this should “wind up to be little more than a misunderstanding.”
