There will be no more trips this year for daring wide receivers. After receiving an MRI today, every Jets’ fans fear was confirmed today. Cornerback Darrelle Revis tore his ACL and is out for the season. During yesterday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, we saw Revis go down and immediately clutch his knee. There was no contact on him, which only made the injury that much more serious. The Jets did win the game in overtime, but at the expense of losing their best player. Yesterday was a wild day of football including an injury to Dolphins’ running back Reggie Bush. After the game linebacker Calvin Pace had this to say, “It’s huge. I wouldn’t necessarily call it devastating. We’ve got enough guys who have played. In this day in the league, it’s a next-man-up mentality. I hope it’s nothing serious. If he can’t play, it has to be Kyle (Wilson) or Ellis (Lankster) or whoever. We have to keep moving because we have some opponents with serious weapons.” Tough break for the New York Jets.
