The stories coming to the surface about Richie Incognito seem to only be getting worse. Earlier, it was reported that the Miami Dolphins suspended guard Richie Incognito. The official reasoning was “conduct detrimental to the team”. It is now becoming clear what exactly that conduct was. Allegedly, OT Jonathan Martin received threatening and racist voicemails from Richie Incognito. In one of the voicemails, he even says “I will kill you!” The recordings have already been turned over to the NFL for them to review.
Jonathan Martin filed an official complaint against the Miami Dolphins for player misconduct which is what prompted Incognito’s suspension. Martin fears that Incognito will come after him and his family, especially since that is what the voicemails allegedly threaten. Incognito is coming under serious fire from everyone and in attempt to clear his name, he probably hurt his chances of ever being able to live this down. This morning, Incognito sent out a very “interesting” tweet to ESPN analyst Adam Schefter.
Incognito needs to stop tweeting and lay low. Bullying is a very serious issue and it is a shame that it got taken this far. This should have never gotten this far and this speaks volumes about the Miami Dolphins front office and their lack of leadership in the locker room. If any of this is true, Richie Incognito has NO place in the NFL and needs some serious help.
