Sad news coming out of Laker nation. Long time owner, Jerry Buss, has passed away at the age of 80. He has been the owner for over thirty years and has had ten championships. He was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in 2010. He helped resurrect the NBA with the creation of “Showtime”. “I really tried to create a Laker image, a distinct identity,” Buss said. “I mean, the Lakers are pretty damn Hollywood.” Last week, Buss was in the hospital for an undisclosed form of cancer. Very sad news, RIP.
