Normally, Darrelle Revis does not get along with guys lining up against him. Ever since he was traded from the New York Jets to Tampa Bay, rumors have swirled that Revis is not getting along with someone on his own team. It is not just anyone either. Revis is said to not be getting along with head coach Greg Schiano. The team as a whole is not clicking as they have gotten off to a dreaded 0-2 start. Tension between a head coach and a high profile player is the worst thing that can happen, but it is definitely not a new tale.
Revis has been overheard complaining about Schiano’s strict style of coaching. Coming from a head coach like Rex Ryan who cared more about the players’ happiness, it can be quite the adjustment. The cornerback also complained about Schiano’s use of zone coverage over man coverage which he personally prefers. Leave it to a player like Revis who was treated like a king in New York to be unhappy when he does not get his way. In a subtle way to clear up these rumors, Revis took to his Twitter account to express his happiness of being in Tampa.
