Boston point guard Rajon Rondo has a torn ACL and his season is over. Rondo was a late scratch for today’s game against the Miami Heat. At first, it was just thought that Rondo hyperextended his knee, but it turns out to be the worst case scenario. Unfortunately for the Celtics, it looks like without Rondo they will miss the playoffs. They are currently on a six game losing streak and desperately trying to hold onto the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. This is a big loss for the Celtics and will now look to Courtney Lee and Jason Terry to fill Rondo’s spot. It looks like the Celtics’ years of dominance have come to the end of the road.
