The AAF announced Thursday that CBS will be broadcasting the San Antonio Commanders game vs. the Memphis Express on April 6th.
Ordinarily, AAF games can be watched on Bleacher Report live and TNT, as well as the NFL Network. Fans can also stream Alliance games via the free Alliance app.
The AAF made the following announcement regarding the change in broadcast:
“Our focus for season one has been continued growth on and off the field. The addition of two games to CBS is a result of strong fan engagement across all platforms that continues to increase week-on-week, and the quality of football being played during a time when the most popular sport in the U.S. has traditionally been on hiatus,” said Charlie Ebersol, co-founder and CEO, The Alliance. “We look forward to reaching even more fans when the stakes are at its highest, as teams fight for a chance to be a part of history in the first-ever Alliance of American Football Championship.”
In addition to the April 6th game, the AAF is also broadcasting one of the Conference Championship games on April 21st as well.
San Antonio has had the two largest attendance records for the AAF. The first home game had an attendance of 27,857. The second home game had an attendance of 29,176, a little over a 4% increase.
The current record for the Commanders is 3-2, while Memphis has a current record of 1-4.
