By now, everyone has heard the exciting news that tennis superstar Serena Williams is pregnant with her first child. Williams announced the exciting news last week on Snapchat when she posted a selfie with the caption “20 weeks” and the beginning of a belly bump. She is currently on a “baby moon” trip to Mexico with her fiancé Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian.
While she’s there enjoying life, she took some time out to write a letter to her unborn baby. She ends the letter with one of the sweetest lines about still being the number one ranked tennis player. Williams posted the adorable letter on her Instagram, writing,
My Dearest Baby,
You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players box next year. But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you…. once again today. On @alexisohanian bday. 😉 from the world’s oldest number one to the world’s youngest number one. -Your Mommy
She gives fans another glimpse at her growing belly bump. She looks more healthy and relaxed than ever before. It is great to see Williams being so open with her personal life after keeping it private for so many years. Congratulations to the happy couple!
