If you watch college football one name always comes to mind, Jadeveon Clowney. The most hyped defensive player will take the field again against the Georgia Bulldogs. Last week, Clowney only had three tackles, but admitted he was battling a stomach virus. The Bulldogs may hope that Clowney still is not 100% because the Gamcocks handed Georgia their only loss in the SEC the past two seasons. Georgia looks to get even at 1-1 after facing the Clemson Tigers in a thrilling matchup in Death Valley.
This is a big game for both teams as they try and established themselves in the SEC division. Both teams have great running offense; Georgia’s Todd Gurley had a 75 yard touchdown run last week and South Carolina’s Connor Shaw ran for a touchdown against Georgia last year. The Bulldogs lost receiver Malcolm Mitchell during last week’s game when he tore his ACL during a touchdown celebration with Gurley.
After last week’s tough loss, I expect Georgia to have a bounce back game. They are a strong team despite losing Mitchell. Teams know what Clowney can do and have had time to plan accordingly to double team him. Both of these teams are talented and they both know what this game could mean in the long run. For Georgia to start the season 0-2, it could be detrimental to their long term goals. South Carolina vs. Georgia- who you takin?
