There hasn’t been a more anticipated Super Bowl matchup in quite a while. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will face off for Super Bowl LIV in the 100th season of the NFL.
All the buzz about this Sunday’s game has fans ready for a competitive game! The Chiefs have finally made it after coming so close last season with a dramatic fall to the Patriots in OT in the AFC Championship game. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs can’t let up now.
Patrick Mahomes was last season’s MVP and has led his team with a 27-8 record as a starter. Only 24 years old year, Mahomes is barely in his prime. He has players like tight end Travis Kelce and safety Tyrann Mathieu on defense, who are in their prime and a true playmakers. It’s been a long time coming and the Chiefs are after their first title since 1970.
The San Francisco 49ers made their way to the top this season, taking out major contenders all season. San Francisco’s quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has had his first full season as a starter, leading his team to the Super Bowl.
The 49ers could possibly win and take home their sixth Super Bowl Championship title. The team is stacked with big-time players like All- Pro tight end George Kittle. Cornerback, Richard Sherman, coming off injury, has on a journey back to the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs are stacked with speed, some of the best the NFL has seen. The San Francisco’s defense can hold it’s on. However, Mahomes’ talents will be the true test for the 49ers defense in this Sunday’s game.
Both teams have performed well all season. Mahomes needs to be successful this game for his team, making those jaw-dropping throws that continue to shock the world. The 49ers need to rely on their running game and defense that has carried them all season.
Super Bowl LIV will be live on FOX at 6:30PM ET. Both teams take the field at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday February 2, 2020 in Miami Gardens, Florida. Football fans are definitely in for an enjoyable and very memorable Super Bowl Sunday.
