Friend to the site, Liz Loza, had a chance to sit down with two former NFL kickers who have started a new business venture together. Owen Pochman and Glenn Pakulak are now the proud owners of the jewelry line, Football Chains. Pochman spent his career on both coasts, spending a year with the New York Giants and another with the San Francisco 49ers. Pakulak spent time with different franchises, but mostly the New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins. One thing these two men agreed upon was the beauty of the football itself, how each football had its own unique characteristics after games.
To share the beauty with NFL fans, they cut up pieces of their personal game balls and started selling them as dog tags. The guys shared just how difficult the process of making one of these necklaces is. Who knew taking apart a football had some steps to it! The business is doing well, but Liz also had to ask if they could still compete in the NFL today and the guys put on display their punting abilities. The guys still have some good kicks in them, but have hung up their cleats for good to focus on their new business! Make sure you check out what made Liz a little emotional in the video!
