Another player will be missing this year’s Pro Bowl, but this time it is not for risk of injury. Washington offensive tackle Trent Williams was involved in a fight at a nightclub in Honolulu, Hawaii last night. One man was arrested with five other being investigated over a brawl that sent two people to the hospital and injured a total of three people. Redskins teammate Jammal Brown announced via Twitter that Williams needed seven stitches. Williams will attend the Pro Bowl, but will instead be on the sideline supporting his NFC teammates.
If you were worried, yes he will still get paid as if he was playing in the game. Earning a spot on the Pro Bowl roster was part of a comeback Williams was trying to make after being suspended during the 2011 season for testing positive for marijuana. He most recently was in the headlines for pushing Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman in the head after their game. However, that game became more infamous as the game RG3 went down.
