When he’s not busy helping his team, the Utah Jazz, in the NBA Playoffs, Jordan Clarkson is helping his local community. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year went out of his way to help a food vendor who sadly had their food truck vandalized. The World Famous Yum Yum Truck was targeted with vile, racist graffiti.

Sadly, this was not the first time the truck had been targeted by racist graffiti. As a Filipino American, Clarkson understands the pain so many Asian Americans are experiencing since the start of the pandemic. He also knew it was time to go to action to stop Asian hate.

The owners were so grateful for Clarkson’s contribution. The truck’s owner Ben Pierce described the Utah guard as a hero for the Filipino community. In a statement on Instagram, they said they were “overwhelmed” and would wear the new wrap “with pride”.

The newly renovated truck will debut the new look this weekend to celebrate Philippine Independence Day. For anyone in the Salt Lake City area, you just might see your Sixth Man of the Year waiting in line!
