It just seems that nothing can go right for the New York Giants this season. They are out of the playoffs, headed for a losing season, Eli Manning has looked lost on the field, and now wide receiver Victor Cruz will likely miss the final two games of the season. He was pulled from last week’s blowout against the Seattle Seahawks after suffering a concussion and knee sprain. The Giants confirmed that it was the knee sprain that was the bigger issue.
The knee injury was a big deal in fact, Cruz underwent arthroscopic surgery this morning on that knee. It will keep off the field this Sunday against the Detroit Lions and it is highly likely that he will miss next week’s season finale against the Washington Redskins. The Giants have had a lot of injuries this season so it is nothing new for New York. Cruz, however, was one of the lone bright spots this season, one in which everything seems to have collapsed on them.
