As if it was not bad enough for All-linebacker Von Miller serving a six game suspension, things just got a lot worse. Miller was caught trying to cheat the NFL’s drug testing procedure with the help of the urine collector. This may be the reason Miller’s suspension was lengthened from four games to six. Many wondered why he faced the two extra games; many guessing he failed more than one test to be the cause.
The collector met Miller in Miami where he spends his offseason. The collector was awe struck to meet one of the biggest stars in the NFL that he willingly agreed to swap out Miller’s urine with a clean sample of a different person. Money was said to not be exchanged for the collector doing this. While it sounds like a bulletproof plan, it had its flaws. A second collector discovered that Miller was not in the city where the collection was said to have taken place. Clearly Miller did not fully think this plan out; that is what drugs can do to you!
It is pretty sad to see such a talented player get involved in such a scandal. It was bad enough to hear that he could not resist temptation, but now to hear he tried to cover it up? He let the Broncos executives down, his fans down, and most importantly his teammates. Many thought that Ryan Braun was sleazy for blaming the urine collector for tampering with his sample. What are they going to think about Miller working in cahoots with the collector?
