The sport of football has been under a lot of scrutiny recently because of all the head injuries believed to be caused by concussion sustained while playing. While many people have started second guessing if they would let their children play the game, no one would expect an actual NFL player to say they would not let their son play. However, reigning MVP Adrian Peterson said exactly that.
While out with his son Adrian Jr., he had this to say, “This is Adrian Jr. He will not be playing football.” Could it be that one of the greatest runnings backs in the league is scared of injury? It would seem quite contradictory considering it was a torn ACL that boosted Peterson into the elite category. While he was also great, he gained notoriety by coming back from a torn ACL and MCL injury better than he was before the injury. He rushed for over 2,000 yard and came nine yards short of breaking Eric Dickerson’s all time single season record. Adrian if your son is half as talented as you, don’t deprive football fans like that!! Take a look at Adrian accepting his MVP trophy at the NFL Honors.
