After weeks of intense matches in Brazil, the FIFA World Cup has been narrowed down to two, Germany and Argentina. The best player, Lionel Messi, against a powerhouse team. Does Messi have enough to carry his team over an entire team filled with above average players?
Germany is coming off a monstrous win against the host country Brazil. A game in which the team was without their best player, Neymar, and looked like they just threw in the towel. Scoring seven goals against Brazil helped Germany score the most goals in the tournament before the final at seventeen.
Unfortunately for Brazil, their archival Argentina will look to knock off that same Germany team for the beautiful gold trophy. Argentina beat Netherlands in a wild penalty kick shootout.
This will be the third time these two nations have battled in a World Cup Final. Both teams have won one. Four time World Player of the Year Lionel Messi has yet to win a World Cup, but if he were to win today, it would seal his legacy as one of the greatest athletes of all time.
