After months of waiting and waiting the Yu Darvish lottery is finally finished. After outbidding every other MLB team, the Texas Rangers finally got a deal with the Japanese phenom. Darvish reportedly signed a six-year $60 million deal. Not bad for someone who has never played in America. How will he do? Well no one can really answer that. It is all pure speculation. However, Texas fans can breathe a sigh of relief after losing their ace, C.J. Wilson to their rival, the Los Angeles Angels. Darvish is still in Japan, but will report to Arlington on Friday for a news conference. Darvish was 18-6 last year and posted a 1.44 ERA. Manager, Ron Washington has already noted that the Opening Day pitcher will be Colby Lewis so there is no word on where Darvish will land in the rotation.
